Commander of the United States Legion of Merit (LOM)

The Legion of Merit is a military award of the United States Armed Forces established in 1942 to recognize exceptionally meritorious conduct in outstanding services and achievements. The Commander degree is one of four levels and is awarded to foreign military personnel and political figures for service comparable to that of a major general. It is one of only two U.S. military decorations issued as a neck order and the only one awarded in degrees, similar to orders of chivalry. This award is conferred upon non-U.S. nationals.

Officer of the United States Legion of Merit (LOM)

Established in 1942, the Legion of Merit is a United States military award recognizing exceptionally meritorious conduct in outstanding services and achievements. The Officer degree is awarded to foreign military personnel of ranks equivalent to colonel or brigadier-general. It is one of four degrees of the Legion of Merit, unique among U.S. military decorations for being issued in degrees and conferred upon non-U.S. nationals. This award honours significant contributions that have enhanced the security or interests of the United States.

United States Bronze Star Medal (BSM)

The Bronze Star Medal is a United States Armed Forces decoration established in 1944, awarded for heroic or meritorious achievement or service in a combat zone. It recognizes acts of heroism, merit, or meritorious service not involving aerial flight. The medal can be awarded to members of the U.S. military and, under certain conditions, to foreign soldiers who have served with or alongside a U.S. service branch. Canadian military personnel who have distinguished themselves in combat while serving with U.S. forces may be eligible for this honour.
